Let's talk about anti virus softwares we using
norton, macafee, antivira, kaspersky, panda, AVG ect.
In my peronal experience, they all slow down your machine. (except AVG) Well it slow your computer a bit. But compared to other softwares, AVG is the best solution. It has simple user interface and it respond very quickly.
When I first installed Norton internet security, (I got it from my Mother Board CD) I waited 3mins. to boot my computer to working state wich it takes 1min. to boot my computer to working state. When I pess START button it took about 3secs. to display.
My machine is
intel pentium dual core e2410 1.6GHz
512 DDRII, 160GB SATA, 945G ex. chipset.
and only drivers are installed.
Then I restarted machine. Same time. (3mins.)
